Five Senses

This week has been filled with interesting activities that were all centered around our five senses. On Tuesday, we focused on touch. The children learned about the various textures within the world around us. The children were able to compare soft, smooth, prickly and rough. Wednesday,  the toddlers participated in an engaging smell experiment. The children were thrilled to guess what the smells were. Some smells were familiar while others were unknown based on the looks on the toddler faces. Today, was the most exciting of all. We traveled down Main Street and made observations of the various changes that have occurred with the change of season. The children were in awe of all the beautiful colors. We also visited the Rock Hill City Hall gazebo and made drawings of all the interesting things we saw on our walk.
