Wed, 29 Jan 2014 04:44:47 +0000 Read more]]> Despite the short school day, the children were having a hard time focusing, most likely from the excitement of snowfall. I hope everyone enjoys their snow day tomorrow! Can’t wait to hear all about what everyone did with snow!
Just a quick reminder: we were supposed to have a Celebration of Life for Emma tomorrow, but since we have it off, be sure to wish her a happy birthday when we resume school on Thursday!
Stay warm everyone!

Walk to the library Tue, 28 Jan 2014 02:01:48 +0000 Read more]]> The lovely, pleasantly warm weather today was perfect for our walk to the library this morning. Ironically, the theme at the library today was snow. And we had a blast! We read books about snow and participated in activities utilizing handmade snowflakes. The children made the fake snowflakes melt on their noses, elbows and tummies. During one book, they had to throw their snowflake up in the air everytime the word “snow” was read. So much fun.
The timing for this library session was more than perfect, since we are expecting snow in a couple of days. Hope everyone stays warm this week! And enjoy the beautiful warm weather while it lasts!

Since we are learning about the season, Winter, we also have been singing a new song called “Snowflakes!” When you get a chance at home, ask your child about what season it is and different articles of clothing we wear during this time!
